Funding awarded for Birmingham based charity supporting employment

Today saw more projects awarded funding as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds.

Sport 4 Life UK, a Birmingham based charity, is partnering with Laureus Sport for Good to tackle youth unemployment in Hodge Hill. The £50,000 received from the funds will support a two-year project to work with vulnerable 16-29 year olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), individuals who have grown up in poverty and who lack the core skills and support they need to find success in work and education.

You can find out more about Sport 4 Life UK by visiting www.sport4life.org.uk , or more about their partner charity, Laureus Sport for Good, by visiting www.laureus.com

The community and business funds are administered and managed by independent community charity, Groundwork UK. For more information on Groundwork and the funds themselves click here or watch the below video.
