HS2 Works Notification - July 2021 - Notice of drainage inspections Aston Church Road

On Monday 26 July to Wednesday 28 July we will be carrying out a series of drainage inspections on Aston Church Road. All dates are subject to the progress of the inspections.

Drainage inspections are non-intrusive surveys, which means that the inspection will only consider that which is visible and accessible. An operative will lift the manhole cover, use a sewer camera to examine the underground pipes and replace the cover.

These surveys will help us to plan where utility diversions will be required as we prepare to construct the railway in Birmingham.

To be able to carry out these inspections safely and effectively, we will need to put in place temporary traffic lights in locations along Aston Church Road. The locations of the traffic lights will change as we carry out drainage inspections along different sections of the road. Access to residential properties and other buildings will be maintained at all times.
