HS2 Works Notification: Notice of construction works around Lawley Middleway

Western Power will be carrying out work on behalf of HS2 around Lawley Middleway and Watery Lane, from 2 March 2020. To construct the railway, it is necessary to divert a number of high voltage electricity cables, which are currently situated in the area of the proposed HS2 route.

Western Power Distribution have been requested to divert an existing high voltage cable through the realigned Lawley Middleway and Watery Lane road network.

The majority of construction work will be undertaken outside of normal working hours, 19:00 pm to 06:00 am Monday to Friday. There may be some weekend working.

Working at this time will minimise disruption to local businesses and residents. Access will be maintained for local residents to the surrounding area at all times.

Work will include some vegetation removal followed by excavation of a trench to relay the cables.

Location of works is shown above. You can access and view the notification diversion of utility cables around Lawley Middleway.

If you have a question about HS2 or our works, please contact our HS2 Helpdesk team on 08081 434 434 or email HS2enquiries@hs2.org.uk .
