News on HS2 in Birmingham

Early works to construct the new railway, is carried out by a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons, known as LM.

LM has set up a secure work site within the industrial land between Erskine and Viaduct Streets in Heartlands/Duddeston. We will soon start safely, demolishing several of the buildings within that work site.

Work is due to start in early April and will last for 12 weeks subject to weather, site and other conditions. Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 18:00 pm and Saturday 08:00 am to 14:00 pm. You can view a copy of the works notification demolition at Erskine and Viaduct streets .
