Notice of overnight traffic management on Lawley Middleway from 1 December 2018

Early works for HS2 are carried out by LM – a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons.

On Saturday 1st December and Sunday 2nd December, we need to install monitoring equipment on Lawley Middleway so we can measure vehicle numbers and traffic flow.

We will install the equipment overnight, between 9pm and 6am, and we’ll need to put traffic management in place on Lawley Middleway while we do this. Staff may also be on site up to an hour before and hour after these times to set up and clear up.

Traffic management will include temporary traffic lights on Lawley Middleway and lane closures. There will also be temporary traffic lights on side roads approaching Lawley Middleway.

Access will be maintained at all times, although there may be a slight delay to your journey because of the traffic lights. We have chosen an approach which minimises disruption to traffic, but apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

The monitoring equipment will be removed the following weekend (Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December) during the same hours and using the same traffic management.

If you have a question about HS2 or our works, please contact our HS2 helpdesk on 08081 434 434 or email HS2enquiries@hs2.org.uk .
