News on HS2 in Birmingham

Saltley Viaduct and Aston Church Road Overbridge are significant structures two miles north-east of Birmingham City Centre which cross other major transport links. Before we begin construction, we are seeking your views on some specific details of their design.

The latest design for the Saltley Viaduct and Aston Church Road Overbridge in Birmingham has been revealed and to help us form our final design we're inviting you to have your say on:

The existing viaduct and overbridge carry roads over the National Rail tracks, the River Rea and the Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal. For the HS2 line to pass through, additional space is required underneath them and they will need to be entirely rebuilt.
